Yeah you read that right. The R.

I think he likes it.

Is this ever going to be affordable as a used car?

Other GT350R thoughts:
This seems to be a greater achievement than the Z/28. And while Matt does seem to be a bit of a Ford fanboy, he kept mentioning the specialness of the GT350R, which I think is actually maybe more important than its performance. That is what you are paying for. You are also paying for exclusivity and I think in his mind, it will be very awesome to own something that everyone wants, even if he has to pay over MSRP to get it. Unfortunately, I don't subscribe to paying much of a premium for emotions, so at some point, the car is just a bad buy, regardless of the joy it brings. I mean, modern Ferraris are good to drive, but they are as unaffordable as a GT350R to me.

Meanwhile, we could have said the same thing about the Z/28 when it came out and it would have been true. But they are dropping quickly. You can get just about all of the performance in a GT350R in the Z/28 for...half the price? The same will be the case with the Camaro 1SS 1LE compared to the GT350. It may even outperform it for less money. Specialness is cool but how much are you willing to pay?
