I like that. Old hydrostatic Cub Cadet. Worst case, a bad engine and bad transmission could be expensive. And if I had another tractor with a good engine and trans...why would I need the Cub Cadet? Best case I can get the engine running and somehow repair the trans (or maybe the linkage is just stuck).

Yeah I kind of doubt the engine and trans died at the exact same time. If the trans is stuck, it could need a rebuild, that is possible to do, I have seen rednecks on youtube do it. The carb is probably clogged or the battery died from sitting with a stuck trans would be my guess. I would push for the seat though for the $80.
