2015 2500/3500 Silverado and Sierra

Boy that Sierra sure is nice. The Duramax is still the LML (updated for 2011) putting out the same 397hp and 765 lb-ft. And it (and the Allison 1000) is still a very good powertrain. There've been many comparisons over the years and the Duramax/Allison combo pretty much always wins everything (performance empty and towing, fuel economy).

Aside from that these trucks also have class leading road manners. Though if you talk to a Ford guy he'll say it's supposed to ride like shit. Ok...
A glance at wiki reminded me that the stillborn LMK was the Duramax 4500. It was shelved in March 2009. 2009!!!
