I drove an 85 one of those with an LG4. This was back in the 2002 time frame, and it was rusty then. But it drove pretty well. It wasn't a total slug. I guess the mid 80s LG4 was better than the early 80s. Also it was a light sedan (instead of a wagon).

Actually, here's the very car. And for fun, here's my car (8/1/2001). The guy on the right actually owned both the blue 94 and that tan 85.

I haven't driven a boxy in a while but there is something very satisfying about it, though I can't put my finger on it. It's just a good feeling. You can see out of them even better than the 91-96. Also they were a little lighter. I remember I came to the conclusion that I actually enjoyed driving the 83 Caprice wagon more than the 90 Continental when I was 17 or so.
