When 650 hp only goes 170 mph you know there's a shitload of aero here.

What complete piece of shit. Haven't you heard the slower Mustang 350 GT-R?

I get it.
They didn't test the ZL1 1LE though. Maybe this has a proper soundtrack.

This Camaro beat all Fords to ever race this course. It also beat all other GM cars to race this track. Sorry C6 Z06... and ZR1...

In all seriousness, there is a serious list of cars that this did beat. Porsches, Lamborghinis, Mercedes AMG, GT-Rs, Ferrari, Pagani, McLaren, Audi R8 V10...
If you walked up to any random person, and said hey guess what new car beat this list, I would say nobody would guess Camaro. What an accomplishment. Go Chevy!

I would bet the C7 Z06 would out-lap it. The ZL1 1LE is probably the better car to drive but I bet the C7 Z06 is more capable. It kind of has to be. It is almost 300 lbs lighter. Which is closer than I expected.
I would probably pick the Camaro in this case given all the facts and info.

Yeah, for an extra 30K the Corvette is 2 seconds quicker...

Enter a German car mag, Sport Auto who wasted no time laying down a blistering 7:13.9,
That's not a direct comparison. It likely means the car was 2 seconds faster without being on the ragged edge as we saw with the ZL1 1LE video. But yeah I'd take a ZL1 over a Z06 this time around. For some reason the LT4 paired with the C7 Z06 has never quite performed at the level you'd expect. I mean it doesn't really even trap any higher than the C6 Z06 did way back in 2006.
