That is also a serious upgrade. Problem is these things are a boat anchor. And even though their upgrades were cost effective for a big block, they were still expensive.

You Americans don't realise how lucky you are to be able to get 330hp out of a 1980's scrapper. In England nothing apart from almost new high end German sports vehicles gets near that.
Everything is so terrible in Europe.
Once again, that is 330 gross. Stock output for 1986 was:
240 hp @ 3800 rpm
375 lb-ft @ 3200 rpm
To show the difference between gross dyno HP and SAE net HP, on the dyno, the stock engine did:
330 hp @ 4300 rpm
475 lb-ft @ 3100 rpm
Put an air cleaner on, all accessories and a full exhaust and that's like 35% less. 330 / 1.35 = 245 hp. Close enough.
