I looked at the list.

Other than high depreciation I actually see no relationship or similarities between these cars. I'm actually not sure what to make of it. You have Japan, US and Europe. You have economy, midsize and luxury. What's the trend? Time since last redesign or something? Are people that shallow and unsophisticated that the biggest driver is how "new" the car looks?

Or perhaps it is supply and demand. The leases on these cars were flying off the lots back in 2014 and the new car sales of these models is relatively less by comparison to the rest of the market? Reaching for an answer...

One other option. They are ALL sedans, which are decreasing in popularity.

Sedans are where it's at if you want a good value in the used market. This was one of my takeaways from my last used car search where my wife's friend bought a Camry XLE.
