"For surviving, Mazda needs money to spend on autonomous driving technology, co-pilot, and next-gen SkyActiv-D, and hybrid systems and electrifications," said Fujiwara. "Therefore we need the money."

This is kind of sad. I get that the rotary might not be a feasible thing, but it is kind of sad that they "need" to work on Autonomous Driving, Co-pilot, hybrid etc. instead of what they want to do. It is kind of weird how all of the companies don't seem to really want to do these things, but feel that they have to because all of the others are. And if the other current mass producing car companies don't, they are afraid Tesla and maybe Apple of some other tech company will, and if they do, they will automatically steal all of the car buyers. It kind of makes you wonder what companies would focus on if they didn't feel like they had to follow the crowd.

Isn't that like Porsche with the Cayenne and Panamera?

Yeah I guess that is true. They made those as more volume cars compared to what they were making. I guess the big difference is Porsche has enough money to do other stuff...

Didn't know where else to put this:

DeMuro - RX-7 - most beautiful car ever made.

I really would like to drive one of these.

He said most beautiful Japanese car to be precise.

Also my Caprice has the same style auto window down mechanism. Of course the RX-7 switch is nicer...

It is hilarious that in a kneeling position his head is STILL higher than the roof. Damn. This is a small car.

It is. Part of me wanting to drive it is because I worked on a Miata before (radio stuff) and could not get comfortable in it because it was so small. I hope this isn't the case with the RX-7.
