Damn, this might be the biggest snow fall of the season. I believe every bit of the 12-18 prediction and it probably has 6 more inches to go yet.
Got the generator on around 11:10am after snow blowing an area.
I topped off the oil (mostly) and filled it up with gas. Running well. Hopefully the oil consumption is down from last time (only 2 weeks ago), as my initial results indicated after the previous oil change.
Power out 10am 3/13/18
Re: Power out 10am 3/13/18
So I think power was restored as early as 11:35am but my PowerBack just chirped and did not stay on continuously. Last time I noted that the low battery light was on and I should replace the battery (seems to be standard practice). This time when I turned it on the red light was not on so I figured...eh. Well, I decided to check around noon even though the alarm was not going off. Power was in fact restored.
Once again, I need to be more diligent about replacing the battery after each extended outage. I did hear it chirp but I was expecting a continuous alarm, which is how it works normally (i.e. with a fresh battery).
About 4.5" left to fall and some of it is 1-2" per hour with winds so I'd say we are hardly out of the woods yet...
