96 Roadmaster P0441
Re: 96 Roadmaster P0441
Got my hose. Installed it. Also used that spark plug wire boot and it fit pretty well.
I also blew out the purge solenoid in both directions (while commanding purge with the Tech 2, of course).Re: 96 Roadmaster P0441
Got my P0443. Did not respond to purge commands. I will order a solenoid. I guess my hunch was right.
Ordered. AC Delco 214565. $27.50 shipped.

Delivered already.
Re: 96 Roadmaster P0441
Replaced purge solenoid. Took about 12 mins. Started car, light went off before I even got the Tech 2 connected. Fixed. Love 90s cars.
Re: 96 Roadmaster P0441
A few commutes later, light still off. Yay!
The Maxima also needed a purge solenoid back in ~2012 (but at higher mileage). I had to get a used solenoid because new was like $185 or something ridiculous.
Jamie's old Malibu was starting to show signs of evap trouble but we got rid of it before it became too consistent. Overall, I have not had any kind of nightmarish experiences with the evaporative system on OBD-II cars (which have like 9 codes just for evap issues).
