We could have an argument about the interior I guess.

2003 E46 3-series: CTS-V:

ughhhh everything about the first CTS-Vs has aged well except for that interior, more specifically the center console. Wheel, dash, and seats are not terrible for the era. i wonder if there are people re-doing them in the aftermarket.

The center stack is ugly and was a poor design choice. That doesn't mean the rest of the interior is bad. It's not. Apparently this was supposed to look like a desktop computer tower....wow.

I think this is actually the point:

I’m sorry, I’m having a hard time understanding how the interior has any importance when you’re shopping for a 10+ year old manual 400hp sedan for 10-12k.
You don’t get an old V (or any performance vehicle from the aughts) for the interior. You get it for the visceral performance uninhibited by electronic nannies.

This vehicle and the Chevy SS were the closest a vehicle I’ve driven to my E39 M5. The CTS-V is a huge amount of car for the money, and very reliable, if not fuel efficient. This car is NP all day and much better than the SS / G8 duo !

Also I don't find the interior offensive in person.

Different angles. These are 04s. Other than the angle, the cheap floor mats and cue ball shifter detract. You have to admit these look much better and there are no other differences. Oops, I don't think this is a V.

This is the stupidest idea ever.

The BMW pick looks clean, tasteful and understated. The Caddy looks disheveled. The center is some weird rounded crooked of 2 axis blob of weird.

The center is really the worst part. The problem is that it is pretty bad... I do agree the rest of the interior is pretty good.
