This is the new GN platform, so it is good to see a 2 door version of the ATS. Hopefully gm continues the 2 doors with the GN.

I think it looks good, and can actually see a GN in this compared to the last regal platform. The rear seems a little rounded but that could just be the picture.

Interior looks nice and I really like the seats.

GM/Buick, don't screw this up.

HP seems a little low (272 or 321 depending on Turbo 4 or NA6) for the Caddy to compete with Audi and BMW since they are pitching this as a performance luxury car. Unless they are planning a V model. Handling should be great.

I like how low weight has become a selling feature.

I think that HP to weight ratio has always been something that performance people cared about.

Now, weight is so influenced with mandatory safety equipment and desired unnecessary technology for a sports car that it is almost a constant instead of a variable.
(don't get me wrong, no airbags in a Monte Carlo is something I am slightly concerned about.)

Perfect example: Heated seats in a Camaro - why do I need this? A Camaro is potentially a summer car in New England. There are people that will actually never drive it in the winter. Why in the world do you want to have heated seats add weight to your performance car? I understand that having packages of options instead of individual options make it cheaper to mass produce cars but call me crazy, I wish there was a stripped Camaro that I could add an 8 cylinder to and drive today.

These packages are out of control. I need to get a 2ss Camaro to have performance gauges? That should be standard in a sports car. I had a cavalier with the same gauges. (1989 Z-24)

Keep your leather, heated seats, cooled seats, nav, media center, I want a Camaro with an 8. That is it.

rant over. What were we talking about? Oh yeah stupid extras adding weight to a performance car that is already bloated.

Sounds like you need a G-body.

My G-body has manual windows and door locks. Also no power seat. And no airbags or ABS or traction control or installed engine (currently).

I happen to like options and features, as long as they don't impact the reliability of the car obviously.
