This is mixing it up.
Let me cut to the chase: his best time (not as a professional motorcycle racer but a competent rider at least) was 1:09. Which is over 10 seconds off vehicles like the Corvette Z06 w/ Z07 or Mercedes AMG GT-R. The best time by a professional was about the same, maybe a second faster. Motorcycles have not improved, at all, at the rate that cars have. Mainly because I think they were already kind of at the limit like 2 decades ago.
On the other hand, it only costs $23k to have something potentially as fast as a Z06 on a track (even if your time is guaranteed to be slower just due to self-preservation factors).
