Both air filters were MB and also had a small pile of.....dirt? Mouse activity from when it sat in his garage for a year? Nothing looked chewed though.
This car appears to be speed density. I see no MAFs anywhere. Just like my E55.

Not too much to report here. Each airbox is removable, like the M273 and M113/K. Also, each airbox has a temp sensor in it. They wired it on the passenger side so the harness runs along the airbox and you can unplug in the front. On the driver's side, you have to do the old reach-around but it's pretty easy. Loosen the rubber couplers that connect to the outlet of each air box. They just lift out. Then you loosen 4 torx screws each and the air filter comes out.
