99 Dodge Ram: rear door won't open from inside

There is an inside handle that pulls the handle that's accessible when the front door is open. That handle has done nothing on the driver's side rear door since I got this truck. Finally pulled the door panel to inspect.
The cable end is broken so it can't pull. I tried manually and it works fine so it just needs a cable. Now to find a Chinesium one that actually works right.

The Dorman is $50 on Rockauto. That's kinda pricey. Mopar is backordered. Mopar on eBay starts at $82 and goes up from there. Some very cheap ones on Amazon. I'll poke around.

Also getting some new plastic push pins. And need to melt some ziptie into an upper metal clip because it broke off the door panel. But these are just the melt kind so this will work.
