Went to pickup the excavator to use up at the scout camp this weekend and the battery was too weak to finish the glow plug cycle without the battery warning light flashing and barely cranked. Ran a charger for 15 min and got it started, but I need to start again in the woods tomorrow night or Sunday morning. Off to buy a new battery. Stupid-undersize Group 35 they put in the machine.

$124.99 Interstate at Costco for a Gr 35, 36 mo pro-rated warranty. The website shows they also have an AGM Group 35, but the guy on the phone didn't mention it $180.

I'm leaning toward either the IBX at BJs or the Walmart AGM.

I just pulled the old one out. Sticker on it says Feb 2015, so it's approaching 11 years old. It was a BJs conventional battery.

I would like faster/better cranking though. I'll see if BJs has an AGM - I can't seem to find it on their website, and then I'll either buy the BJs AGM or get the $124 one I guess.
