LSA-equipped vehicles (which means Eaton TVS-1900) get their warranty extended due to premature shaft bearing failure. Given the blower, the engine has more complexity than the usual SBC. And the only real warranty claim you would make on an SBC would be a valve spring. I think I've heard of this before, so I'm glad they're stepping up. It supposedly covers 2009-2013 CTS-Vs and extends coverage to 10 years, 120k. That may be long enough that if it hasn't failed by then, it doesn't have "the problem." I guess my worry would be if I picked one up with 90k and it was driven gently enough even with "the problem" that it didn't exhibit symptoms that it would fail under my use.
