Never drove one. I don't quite see why someone would obsess over it. Is it the "exotic mid-engine" setup in something that Toyota makes exciting?

His argument that Toyota "got away" with the car being prone to snap oversteer because it was so long ago (the 90s) is ridiculous. Does he not know about the Corvair and Ralph Nader?

Toyota actually tweaked the rear suspension for the 93 model year to reduce the possibility of it going toe out under extreme loads. Perhaps this is what contributed to the snap oversteer in the earlier models.
