I am almost ashamed to say that I kind of want this, but, I kind of want this.

These things are 3000 lbs.
New Stingray - 3300 lbs...
I would say after the swap, they would be about equal weight.
Stingray is about 50K.
You can grab this for about 15K with 20 - 40K miles on it.
It isn't a crazy sleeper since they are "sporty" but nobody would suspect this.

That guy did a really good job on that. So 400hp stock (maybe a tad more with mods). This would probably be good for a mid to low 12 @ 116 mph or so. Maybe 117. The auto is kind of a bummer for serious driving but as a little hot rod kind of car, it's great.

With the LNF turbo, they weren't exactly slow from the factory.

14.0 @ 98 through an auto is basically on par with a 93-97 Camaro Z28 auto.

Wow, that LS3 Solstice makes 430rwhp through the stock manifolds. That's hot. That thing is probably over 120mph in the 1/4.

I mean, after it was all said and done, you could definitely have a 2008 vette, It is just cool because it is different. A 2 seater isn't the most practical car, but if you are gonna do a swap like the rx-7 or rx-8, Miata etc., why not do this? I would like to know how this handles and some acceleration stats when it is done to see where it really stands. Whatever the numbers, I bet it is fun as hell.
I would also like to know if it beats the Z4 roadster. That would be awesome.

With a different exhaust and a reflash, mine does 0-60 in 4.4 and the quarter mile in 13.1 at 104 mph. The 1/8th mile is incredible. It will run with almost anything for the first 1/8th mile. Just a wiff of throttle lights up the rear tires at any time. Probably makes max torque at about 1800 RPM. Feels faster than my 600 hp Viper around town.
That reflash - I wonder if that is the GM Stage 1 or whatever kit that is. Anyway, low 13s at 104 is just about where my CTS-V lives. And that's without swapping any V8s. You should price out some 2007+ Redlines or GXPs.

Are those numbers from a re-flashed stock turbo, or from the LS swap, tuned?

Reflashed LNF cars. The LNF was the 2.0 DI turbo put in the 2007+ Sky Redline and Solstice GXP. Same engine as the 2008+ Cobalt SS, more or less. It's a very good engine. Not a V8 of course. But no slouch.
The LS swap cars would put football fields on the LNF but that's a different ballgame. My point was it's not like a Miata were all the stock ones are butt slow or something.
