This is less novel to me but I understand the excitement.

On the other hand, the author clearly doesn't really understand these cars. For example, a 4.56 gear is not as short as it sounds with the 0.5:1 6th gear and tall B-body tires. In fact, 4.10 is about average so 4.56 is only one notch shorter than what would be considered OEM appropriate gearing. I wouldn't personally do 4.56 unless the engine revved over 6,000 rpm because of driveshaft limitations (it pretty much has to be aluminum, carbon fiber, or larger than stock if it's steel). Or you just can't go over like 100 mph...
