I called the guy yesterday and left a message. I called him back today, and he answered. He sold it yesterday. Yesterday was day 4 of the listing.

I've only sold one car on Craigslist (tercel #2). I put the ad up on Friday night and had 6 emails the next morning. The first guy came and looked at it a couple hours later and it was gone just after lunch.

I have sold quite a few cars via craigslist. Typically anything that was ~$5000 or less and half way decent was gone within a few days. Of course I like to credit my ability to take good photos and write a coherent ad, but it was probably just that cars like this tend to sell themselves.

Ran when parked... 8 years ago. Actually doesn't appear to be in bad shape other than the paint fade. http://greensboro.craigslist.org/cto/5737752624.html

I cannot remember the last time saw a Probe. This would be a great car for Bill, in theory.

I thought I said I didn't want a Mustang! LOL, I did like the MX-6 though back in the day though.

Isn't this is a type of the "runs out good" craigslist ad though?

Instead of runs out good needs head gasket, it is runs out good 8 years ago, not sure why it won't start today...
Or runs out good, parked for 8 years, it must still runs out good...

It would be fun to resurrect it if it were local.

Apparently the Probe was legit back in the day: http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons ... rison-test It was as quick around a road course as the Eclipse GSX. I bet almost no one would guess that!

Well, it was supposed to be the Mustang, so I am not surprised that they made it with decent performance. I am sure the final product was slower than planned since they kept the escort Mustang a little longer (Fox body).

I knew 2 people with these, both seemed like decent cars, and at least one had high miles.

I actually thought these looked pretty good, especially since I liked this gen RX-7:
