Mazda3 Suspension

It's pronounced "chassy." Brakes, suspension...things that make the car fun or a death trap

Mazda3 Suspension

Post by bill25 »

So, it seems that my rear passenger shock blew out probably yesterday based on a "strange oil puddle" near the back passenger wheel this morning, and a terrible clunking sound from that area while driving. A quick look around shows that nobody carries Bilstein shocks in stock. WTF. I would like to walk in a store and buy a pair tomorrow. The B6 model is about 105 to 115 on Advanced Auto or Rock Auto. AutoZone wants like 175 or something stupid, and also does not stock them. As far as I can tell, Napa doesn't carry the brand. Sears doesn't have them either. Do I really have to order these?

Car is back! Replacing the rear shocks was not a difficult job, and seems to have fixed the problem, and has brought some of the cars handling back. I am kind of excited to do the front.
