I agree with a lot of what he is saying there. Diesel guys are so die hard that they'll put up with some insane garbage just so they aren't driving that other brand. Crazy.He nailed it.. The best thing ford does is marketing and brainwashing people. I have a computer at work that logs the miles, repairs, and costs for every vehicle we work on.
Gm and dodge build much, much better trucks then ford. Cars too for that matter.
Most chevy trucks come in for bad unit bearings, rusted out brake lines, water pumps, and basic maintenance. Once In awhile I see a bad elec throttle body, t- case encoder motor, etc..
Fords come in for spark plugs and coils, which usually turn into cat convertors also. Spark plugs in a chevy..about $140 parts and an hr labor. Spark plugs in a ford .. plan on $350- $1500 for replacing the spark plugs. The coils need to be replaced also if they havnt recently. Thats another $200-$500 depending on China or motorcade coils. If your lucky you wont need $1500+ worth of new catilytic convertors....you probobly will because once the coils start to go bad, you know, when your pos f truck runs shitty on wet mornings....Thats you engine filling your catilytic convertors with raw fuel.... they don't like that.
Speaking of fuel.... gota love fuel pump drivers that literally fall of your f truck...at least they are easy to diagnose the no start problem.
Vacuum operated lock outs....who the hell thought that was a good idea? Auto part suppliers love them....
G.E.M.S that fail all the time, memory steer, eco boosts hydro locking...every one I work on has coolent leaking out the turbos.. The 6.0 , the 6.4, the focus transmission problem is still continuing since 2010 and these ford loving brain dead idiots just keep buying them....
There are thousands of focus owners paying on cars with junk transmissions from the factory. Ford can not, and will not fix them....but they will spend your money on marketing and brainwashing you idiots into buying another ford pie e of shit. Look at how many 6.0 power stroke owners now bought newer ford garbage ...... I don't get it.
