I think the current model was reasonably popular, though never a top seller or top rated. This should do better. Unlike the Acadia, this did not get shrunk a size class, but still managed to lose 362 lbs on the new platform.

I guess the V6 is standard at 305 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The 2.0L turbo has 255 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque and is apparently available on the RS model or something (according to a commenter).

Performance looks decent:
GM officials say this family hauler will do 0 to 60 mph in less than 7 seconds with the V-6 and slightly longer with the four-cylinder

Hey it's lighter so it's not like they are keeping it heavy and saving money. They actually have to spend money to make it lighter but heavy duty, so it makes the choice seem less unethical to me.

Also it gets the new GM-Ford 9-speed transverse automatic.
