Haha, M70. The E38 got the M73 which was a little better at least (322 or so). That vehicle did not look slow to me (there was never an M8).

The 5.0 in that RS was actually the L03 with TBI. And it was not the slowest vehicle on this list. The thing about the L03 was that it was never marketed as high performance (and never went into a Monte Carlo). Little bit of rumble and a little bit of torque gave you enough V8 experience for the trim level at the reasonable weight of a Camaro RS. I'd say the L69 was what he meant to reference. Case in point, the "HO" L69 only had 10 more HP (in the Monte SS) than the L03 in grandma's 89-93 Caprice, untold numbers of 87-95 trucks, etc.
