I had this weird feeling of deja vu as I was reading the article. Maybe I read it online like weeks ago and forgot.
It sounds really good though it didn't quite get the overwhelming emotion of the GT350R. Two main reasons for that. One, the novelty of the Voodoo is undeniable and two, lower level Mustangs, unlike in the Gen 6 Camaro like, have not been top notch drivers cars.
There is a serious dearth of direct comparisons and I find that odd. The 1LE has been around for a while and still no direct comparison.
C/D tested new Camaro ZL1
Re: C/D tested new Camaro ZL1
Regarding the comment by Brian Bark:
First, he didn't even say R and I will assume he meant R because the SS 1LE is similar to the regular GT350. I don't think this would have any problem with an R around a track. Ford would say wait for the GT500. But a ZL1 is cheaper than a GT350R (transaction price - similar MSRP).
Also this will be pretty much dead even with a Hellcat in a drag race. So basically I don't see what the issue is.
Says the ZL1 doesn't quite have a strong enough performance in either handling or speed. This car is a tremendous bargain. An actual bargain. Not the MSRP + ADM nonsense.
