Caprice engine swap?
Re: Caprice engine swap?
I think I posted it before. It definitely looks clean on the outside. Would be good to see the inside.
Re: Caprice engine swap?
I couldn't find it, though you probably didn't post the description so it would potentially be an expired link or something. Do you recall if the price changed? I don't believe it has.
Re: Caprice engine swap?
I think it was always $2900. Seems reasonable assuming the interior isn't torn up.

Amazing to find a one owner 93 but this isn't the first Roadmaster sedan like that. These, again, are my best value I think.
Looks great. I dig the wheels (not sure I have seen these before) and white walls. But it's a 93. Despite the condition, it is still missing trim which is kind of like showing a house for sale and trying to get top dollar without mowing the lawn. The price is too high. The price would be too high even if it was a 96. Corrosion is a big question mark but again it does look clean from the 3 pics he posted. Sadly for the seller, this is a $3500 car, unless it is uncharacteristically rust-free then there can be a small premium for that (up to $4k but even then, it's not an LT1).Buick Roadmaster Limited - $5500 (Providence)
1993 Buick Roadmaster Limited. One owner. I have all service records car is in great shape runs like its new. Low miles 123,000 on the dash. Thanks call Mike

500lb of torque. I'm ready for a FWD smoke show!
Re: Caprice engine swap?
I guess this would be more along the line of an SRX replacement. Most powerful Saab ever made?

Re: Caprice engine swap?
These are cool and another rare GM performance vehicle. But honestly I think they have a few too many issues for me, like transmission and front differential. Probably a host of other things. Maybe the Saab got some upgraded stuff, who knows.
This really is the Super of GMT-360 vehicles. A pretty good analogy actually.

Re: Caprice engine swap?
Speaking of Saabs, I recently started looking at the final 9-5 Aero just for fun. It's crazy that these had an MSRP around $50k when new. Now they are attainable for $10-15k with reasonable mileage. They had the unique 2.8L turbo engine and made 300 HP and 295 lb-ft. It's too bad they were saddled with AWD, but I guess it's better than torque steering all over the place. Although the SHO is faster and more powerful, I think these handled better.
Re: Caprice engine swap?
I think that 93 RMW is a better choice than those saabs though. Just keep it from rusting and LS swap it someday with Ian. Or just drive it to 400k with the tbi engine.
Let the dodge rust in the winter.
