That's where I am at.

The Roadmaster seems, on the other hand, like a perfect use of the site.

This guy seems pretty strict.
I'm very flexible, I have a fleet of high-end exotic cars on Turo and I'm seeking to be a top host in the market. Please message me with any questions.
You may drive as many miles as you wish. Depending on the length of your reservation, you will get a certain number of included miles, but you may drive as many as you'd like, it's just 0.75 cents for additional miles.

The following rules are intended to maintain the vehicle in new condition. I've never charged anyone for any of the following fees because it's easy to respect these reasonable rules. Please treat the car as your own and everything will be absolutely fine! I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed during your rental experience.

**NO SMOKING***
Do not smoke in or near the car, any smoke smell will incur a $500 charge. Additional cleaning charge to restore vehicle's condition may apply.

**NO PETS**
Any pet smell will incur additional charges $250 plus any cleaning costs needed to restore vehicle's condition.

**NO FOOD**
Absolutely No Food in the car please, let's try to maintain the new car smell. Cleaning charge applies for non-compliance plus a fee of $250.

**SEATS CARE**
Do not place any items on the seats or dashboard. Please only place objects you are carrying with you in the trunk or on the floor mats.

**RE-FUELING**
Only use 93/92 Premium Octane Fuel. If any other Octane is used there will be an extra charge at the end of your reservation. Please kindly keep your fuel receipts that show the Fuel Octane used in case there are any discrepancies.
-You may return the car without refueling but there is a $19.99 convenience fee plus the cost of fuel due at end of trip.

**TOLL ROADS**
The vehicle is equipped with EZ Pass and you are responsible for reimbursing the cost of the tolls you use. You do not need to stop and pay cash. Simply pass through EZ Pass sensors and keep track of your tolls.

**WINTER DRIVING**
The vehicle is equipped with all season tires.
**If any snow or ice builds up on the exterior of the vehicle you must remove it before returning it. There will be a charge of $99 for removing ice. (Please park the car in a garage when there is snow or ice on the road.)

**CLEANING**
The interior must be returned as clean as it was delivered to you. Exterior cleaning is included with your reservation. If the interior is left unclean there is a charge of $80 plus the cleaning charge. If you need to clean the vehicle's interior do not use any product, only a dry or slightly damp (with water) cloth may be used.

**WHEELS & TIRES**
You are responsible for any damages to the wheels and tires. Please be careful when approaching any curves or potholes. These low profile tires are quite delicate and could scratch if not careful.

**PICK UP & RETURN**
Vehicle must be picked up or received at the exact time of the reservation. The vehicle may be returned before or at the end of the reservation time. Any other time cannot be guaranteed and you risk losing the reservation (15 min tolerance). I usually have other appointments/meetings and need to stay on schedule. If you think you cannot make it on time to the reservation please let me know 48 hours in advance to figure out a better time to start or end the reservation.

You will absolutely enjoy this Mercedes C300 with AMG Package, please stay safe out there and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thank you!
I guess the mileage charge will somewhat dissuade joy riders? Commercial car rental places haven't charged extra for mileage in seemingly two decades.

Always serviced at Acura dealer.
Always kept clean. Will deliver washed, but I need it returned washed as well. If you don't have time to wash it, no worries. I'll just need $20 reimbursement for the wash/vacuum.
- No pets
- No smoking ($250 CLEANING FEE IF ANYONE SMOKES IN THE CAR DURING YOUR TRIP)
- Requires premium fuel (please keep your receipts)
- Includes EZ Pass, so you can zip through the tolls (I will request reimbursement for actual charges after your trip)
I guess I can just create all these tiers of rules and fees. Seems to work for these guys. Return the car washed though? Man. I also like the demand to keep the receipt to prove premium was used. Once again, that would apply to the CTS-V. I could probably convince someone that I could scan the computer and see not only if 87 was used, but if the car was abused. $10,000 abuse charge :)

I am seeing some repeat things on these, so that's something. I can definitely sense similar concern on the part of the owner as I would have.

One problem review:
Well, the car was awesome, I wish I could say the same experience applied to Beverly, sadly , not the case. I did ask to change the drop off destination to the airport, which she said on the profile was available for pickup/dropoff, that wasnt my issue, she didnt respond to my messages and it inconvenienced me, so I emailed her and told her about my frustrations and asked how she think it went, here is the reply I got. Rude, aggressive, threatening, she is trying to get me 'thrown off turo' for leaving negative feedback. I dont think that bullying and intimidation should be part of Renting a car. I hope Beverly can act more professionally and kindly to her paying customers in the future. so i pasted what she sent to me, im sure she will leave me bad feedback, i dont really care, so decide for yourself if this is all worth a 1 -day car rental or not....

From Beverly to me:
"How do I think we did? Considering we needed to deal with a personality like yours? I would say we did amazing to bite our tounge up until now.

I've already ready reached out to Turo and given them my two cents on all of this. You wanting to rate poorly because your demands were not met is not only childish but grounds for possible removal from the system. Turo has read the message history and is 100% aware of what you are doing. It's manipulative and quite frankly disgusting. We as well as Turo are now waiting to see how you decide to handle things as a member of the site. Leaving feedback is not mandatory and we chose to not rate you for that reason. With all that being said, Turo knows that you were happy with the rental and knows everything went off without a problem. If you choose to rate poorly because that's the type of person you are than so be it but Turo is now watching this transaction very closely.

You put in a rental request for a one day rental that was to be picked up at our building. The car was is prestine condition when you picked it up and was ready on time. You even had curbside valet-like service. Whatever grief you needed to deal with to get to our building is not our issue or turos. We were extremely accommodating to help you out given the last minute requests. We have people that come from NY on a regular basis for rentals and have never tried to pull what you are pulling right now. We have over 120 5 Star reviews for a reason. We are one of the top 5 owners on the Turo system for a reason. What's that reason ? Because we have incredible vehicles and take incredible care of the members we deal with. People can't seem to thank us enough or praise us enough in the feedback.

We asked you how things were mid trip and you responded "Great". That there concludes how we handled our end of the transaction. You received EXACTLY what you contracted for and were happy with it. Now because your demands for Newark weren't met (something you weren't contracted for and wanted last minute) well now things aren't so great on your end.

We have 9 vehicles on the site and are extremely busy on the weekends with people who book in advance and pay for delivery. Do we have the car listed for EWR ? Yes we do, but we ultimately approve or deny based on our availability and EWR was not something we agreed to nor did you contract for with your request. We technically only offer EWR as free for rentals that are a 5 day minimum and it's states that in the listing. We were willing to make it happen the day before for you because we had another car we had to retrieve at the airport, like we had stated to you and it wouldn't have been that big of an issue.

You requested the pickup and drop off to be at MetLife Stadium. You seem to like to pick and choose what parts of things you like to complain about. I don't see you complaining at all that there is a 2 day minimum and that there is a surcharge for anything less than two days. Did you not want to talk about that part of this ? You know, how we didn't bother to charge you a surcharge or even mention it to you prior to confirming the booking. No, I didn't think so. We didn't charge it because it was a last minute request and the car was available at the end of a weekend and we wanted to make sure you were taken care of.

With all this being said sir I would tread wisely if I were you. Your fictional feedback you are threatening between the lines might be what ends up getting you removed from the system by Turo"
Customer sounds like a douche.

Alright this is the best I could do using site: to find V1s.

https://turo.com/rentals/cars/va/willia ... s-v/233793
2005, $45/day, no reviews, VA
2005 Cadillac CTS-V. Ultimate sleeper car for around town but still comfortable for the interstates. 4 doors with leather and alacantra interior. Front seats are heated. Has in dash Navigation and 6 disc CD changer/DVD player (only when stopped) on top of 9 speaker Bose™ premium sound system. Car is heavily modified underneath but still performs great on the street. Rear Wheel Drive, built 5.7L LS6 V8 with over 530hp, 6 speed manual transmission with new twin disc racing clutch (& slave, throwout bearing, lightweight flywheel, ECT.) just installed. Custom built top end of engine, Edelbrock/Lingenfelter heads, custom Lunati camshaft, hone matched valves and titanium double beehive springs, work perfectly with the Lingenfelter intake and Borla race exhaust mounted to the long tube headers. Tires are All Season Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3s (255/45-18 in front and 274/40-18 out back). Appearance wise it looks similar to every other Cadillac except a few small details and the Z06 Corvette drivetrain underneath. THIS IS A DRIVER'S CAR!! It has seen time on sanctioned road courses and is built to bring a smile to everyone's face. Prefer experienced drivers please.
When using the vehicle, even though it is a performance oriented car, please do not perform "burnouts", excessively hard launches from a standstill, or "street racing". No smoking in the car, and please return the car in the same shape you received it. Prefer no pets but if it is required I'd ask a layer be put between the seat and animal and any excess cleaned. Please obey all traffic laws.
He has a VA vanity plate: Z06 DNA

Only 70k on it. G-meter has embarrassingly low figures which tells me his focus with this car is not cornering (the all seasons are another tell). Looks good though. Same year/color as mine.

2005, $46/day, no reviews, NJ
Clean car, loaded interior with Bose sound system. Cts-V with 425 horsepower. After market exhaust and intake, remainder of car is stock. Extremely fun car to drive.
https://turo.com/rentals/cars/az/scotts ... s-v/130002
2007, $26/day (??), says automatic, no info, no reviews, clearly just an error, says AZ

https://turo.com/rentals/cars/me/portla ... s-v/129823
2007, $270/day (!!), no reviews, ME

Not getting a lot of warm vibes. Or any vibes. There is a $250 surcharge for vibes. lol

Wait maybe the last one is a joke.
Do want to live life on the edge? Do you want 600 hp throbbing through your veins every time you leave a red light? If you rent this car and don't get laid a $50 fee will be charged. (Seriously) This is a MANUAL TRANSMISSION CAR with 6 erection inducing speeds. It's not for the faint of heart.
So I really have no information at all. The first two at $45-46/day doesn't seem nearly high enough. Sigh.

Well, that is awkward... Now what? (Yikes)

We should start an "interesting car" rental company through Toro. Then we could write them off and it would be a business...

I actually proposed this to my wife as alternative to buying an investment property. That didn't go well.

That would actually be awesome. Like an old Mercedes diesel. And like anything else. 78 Fleetwood. The mind reels.

There is sooo much interesting stuff that is fairly cheap to buy.

That really makes me wonder why the Hoovies Garage guy doesn't do that. Seems obvious almost.

My guess is low rent price per day added to low reliability of the older cars, and repair costs for said unreliable old cars.

Not saying we shouldn't look into it, but what are we going to get for say the Mercedes, if we even get someone that wants to drive it at all, 20 bucks a day? So 3 days gets us 60 dollars, and we have to meet this person at pick up and drop off, and clean the car potentially between renting... How do repairs get paid for? If we do the work, do we at least get mechanic rates of like 90 bucks+ per hour? It might be worth it if that is the case. We would make more repairing the broken cars than from rent.
