"Toilet" is probably one of my favorite Boston-area car terms.

Wonder if this is worth looking at...
https://boston.craigslist.org/nos/cto/d ... 06331.html

There are some cautionary things in the pictures:
Macco paint is obviously not good based on the back picture.
No trunk lock
No mileage
350 with 3 speed was not stock... for either engine or trans...
potential aftermarket radio wires visible in trunk, probably not adult owned the whole time - not a show stopper
No AC

Rims seem good, new tires according to ad, body looks decently clean from bad pictures.

Factory no-A/C cars were pretty rare.

Chevrolet steering wheel cover is classy.

Overall it is a non-rusty functional car. Compared to the pricing of what is out there now, $4k isn't terrible. You could probably drive it as-is for years.

Also, if it is in storage until August 16th, are these pics from this year? Or before it went into storage xx years ago?

I checked the images, either the guy or Craigslist stripped all the image metadata, so you can't see creation time and such.

I kind of agree. This is tempting. Kevin would argue you couldn't drive it for 5 minutes with a 3 speed... I think I could make it work. Just have to figure out if I would buy one of these before the Camaro, and then where I would put them...

5 minutes or when you reach the speed and conditions where it should have gone to overdrive. Whichever comes first.

Yeah, a 3 speed w/3.73 gears will be...exciting.

You could try putting the car in your garage or driveway.

One remedy for the gearing and the 3-speed is to swap in the 4L80E right away.

Painless makes a standalone controller:

Kinda pricey.

The Mega Squirt option is a bit cheaper:

There are also much cheaper full-manual controllers as well:
