This is FWD and I have been avoiding clicking on it for a while but this is actually pretty cool - not as a Caprice replacement but just in general.

1990 Cadillac Fleetwood d'Elegance REDUCED!! - $4300 (Longmeadow)
For sale is my 1990 Fleetwood d'Elegance, all original paint, roof top and interior, very clean engine bay and under side, true survivor! This car has been garaged since day 1, rubber is still soft and not dried out, no tree debris in the cowl and lower fenders and the trunk looks like it was never used. This generation had the plastic body panels so there is no rust issues at all. Car has 74,600 miles on it, fully loaded with the 4.5 L motor, no over heating issues like the Northstar motors, FWD and automatic transmission. All black with silver Aero package trim on bottom of exterior. Black button tufted leather interior with black carriage top.
Typical options including AC, PS, PB, PW, Instant Heated windshield deicer, rear seat vanity mirrors, rear opera lights etc. Brand new Firestones (less than 400 miles on them) all around with Lace factory wheels, car is very clean and rides like it just came off the assembly line, nice and quiet!! All controls function properly, no oil leaks, car starts right up on the first crank every time and just runs very well for a 27 year old car. Will eventually need a new headliner and an AC recharge. I drove it over the weekend with the hot weather and the AC couldn't keep up with the heat. No indication anywhere that the AC has been converted from R-12. Price reduced to compensate for these items. I've had several Cadillac's and for its age this one has the looks and the ride. Hate to sell but unfortunately I can't get my wife's wheel chair close enough the the front seat to transfer her in so I'm looking for a coupe now. If your looking for a classic and not a lot having to spend a lot of money this is worth checking out. My classic car insurance is under $190 per year! No tire kickers please, I don't need help selling it either. Thank you.
I can't figure out if this has extra wheelbase but it actually looks pretty damn roomy. The 4.5L this year was up to 180 hp which wasn't bad. The 4.9L for 91 is better of course, at 200 hp. I believe both engines are considered very reliable. These were lighter than the big RWD cars but with tons of interior room, the heaviest model being 3,900 lbs. So the smaller V8s work pretty well in this application.
Anyway this car is sweet. It sounds like it has functional original R-12 A/C, which may need a charge. Or a complete conversion. I'd look into keeping the R-12 if it is really the original charge.
This would just be a neat, comfortable and reliable car to own - the FWD-ness I don't think really changes anything because it's not about which end does burnouts or whatever.
