Wow... They didn't even replace the light marker in the replaced front quarter. Wonder if the passenger mirror "falling off" has anything to do with what ever hit that front quarter...

Ok here is the plan. We throw 400 each at this POS, you can have the platinum grill, I'll take the car.

Then pull everything, and LS swap it. I bet we could get a CTS-V computer, and use that to drive CTS-V gauges in this thing.

ECU: $120
Gauges: $86

$1500 for engine and trans...

This thing could be reliable in no time...

Not the worst plan I've heard, though everything wrong with this car wouldn't be cured with an engine swap I don't think. Also I can get a Platinum grill for $430 so $400 isn't exactly a big discount.

Doing that type of swap on an OBD-II car may make it difficult to get a sticker.

Unless you are real fancy and keep the factory ECU (from the LS) and update the internal VIN to be the one of the car. You would also need to retain catalytic converters (no exhaust coming out the hood).

In theory the RI OBD-II "emissions test" means plugging their scan tool in, seeing some % of the systems report ready and no fault codes. Also the safety inspection (where they would verify the emissions equipment hasn't been altered). Not to say that this isn't possible, but something to keep in mind.

OBD-I cars are no longer run on the dyno for emissions tests as of February this year (2/2017). In other news, it might be time to start modifying the Fleetwood...

You should totally LT1 swap that.

I wanted to be that fancy... I forgot to paste the link:

This should run these gauges, and just use O2 sensors from a regular LS engine for emissions right.

And drive this:

I would put in regular suspension. I think the only problem left is HVAC...
(In reality, none of this is going to happen, but seems theoretically feasible)

1994 cadi fleetwood - $4500 (charlotte nc)
44000 original miles this car was owned by an old lady in Miami and never driven it out of Dade Country. A friend pick it up for me in Melbourne Fla. and the drove it up to me in NC .It had 36000 miles on it. It has cold air new tires 95 % new shocks, Mobile 1 through the whole drive train .dash is perfect and head liner. new front window motors replace. Car still can bur rubber
drive seat is a little worm backseat like new. The car is great shape considering it age I just don't need 3 car for two people.
The pictures and the story do not match. A Carfax would probably go a long way here. It COULD be original but it sure seems like it has 150k to me. For that matter, I've seen Fleetwoods with 150k that were in better overall original condition.
Down to $3400 - https://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/d/ ... 74643.html

If the ad said 186k I'd believe it with no questions asked.

Maybe someone wants to spend $5 on a sketchy Carfax just to see if the miles are even remotely true.
