I assume that the engine issue must be something catastrophic given the price, but even with a complete swap, you could put together a decent car for cheap.

I would think it was related to a DoD lifter failure which probably requires more than a lifter replacement to fix. But it could be salvagable. I mean it has a 6L80. This is a very good platform for building on.
