GMT-360 thread

Post by kevm14 »

Saab 9-7X Aero: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SUOS0L1e0E

Tows 6,600 lbs. Mandatory AWD and no 3rd row. The long wheelbase GMT-360 platform may offer a 3rd row.

From Wiki:
GMT 305
2004–2005 GMC Envoy XUV

GMT 360
2002–2009 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
2002–2009 GMC Envoy
2002–2004 Oldsmobile Bravada
2003–2007 Isuzu Ascender
2004–2007 Buick Rainier
2005–2009 Saab 9-7X

GMT 368
2003–2006 Chevrolet SSR

GMT 370
2002–2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
2002–2006 GMC Envoy XL
The good news is there are a lot of them on Auto Trader. And the start at only $3,900.

This one has a picture of the 3rd row: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale ... 7190&Log=0

You can even get one with the 5.3L for $4k.

$4k if you don't mind having 257k on it. Here's that one: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale ... 2179&Log=0

Here's one for $5k: http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale ... 0810&Log=0

Required viewing: Trailblazer SS, AWD, doing cyclones. Yes it has a cam and a centrifugal blower (only 10psi). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOvG_2Y-aN8

Here is what you can do with the RWD version (and stock power): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pk0Qh69JkTA

From what I have heard, this is one of the worst GM platforms of the last decade. This seems to be reflected in the resale values.

Yeah it's not too great. But the 9-7X Aero is the best one I think in terms of interior and suspension. And THAT is reflected in resale. Cheapest I could find was $14k. They only sold for like $40k so that's not super terrible or anything. They're also rare.

It's funny to me that the Trailblazer started out unibody and the 2012+ version has gone back to body-on-frame...

How will it distinguish itself from the suburban and the blazer? Does chevy still make a blazer?

Wait what? The fullsize Blazer, the S10 Blazer, the 90s Blazer and the Trailblazer were all body on frame.

But the Trailblazer was not body-on-frame. Now it will be, just like the others.

I'm still confused. GMT-360 is body on frame.
