My favorite part is the idea that he should have gone upstairs at 2am and confronted his noisy neighbor. Instead, he wrote a letter. He didn't even call the police.
Then, perceiving a personal threat from the NYPD if they were to be notified, Brookshire added, “As a Black man, I take these overt actions as a direct threat to my physical and psychological well-being and as an act of violence upon me (see attached list of the 821 men, women and children killed by police or in police custody to date in 2016).”
This is the same nonsense we see from the left about "micro-aggressions," which some on that side argue should be taken as if actual physical violence was committed. It's just insane. I mean the attitude on this guy must be that he's walking around daily, literally looking for a fight and everything through his eyes must be seen as unjust oppression.

I know this is old but it was linked from another article I was reading at WaPo so forgive me...doesn't change anything though.
