That is also a serious upgrade. Problem is these things are a boat anchor. And even though their upgrades were cost effective for a big block, they were still expensive.

To show the difference between gross dyno HP and SAE net HP, on the dyno, the stock engine did:
330 hp @ 4300 rpm
475 lb-ft @ 3100 rpm
Put an air cleaner on, all accessories and a full exhaust and that's like 35% less. 330 / 1.35 = 245 hp. Close enough.
Once again, that is 330 gross. Stock output for 1986 was:You Americans don't realise how lucky you are to be able to get 330hp out of a 1980's scrapper. In England nothing apart from almost new high end German sports vehicles gets near that.
