I realize this is HRG not Lotus Elise garage...while this car looks fun in a terrifying way, I think this kind of shows that since power is so cheap and plentiful, you are better off starting with something more substantial than trying to push the limits on how light it can be. At least when you want a proper V8 power plant. Looking at the C4 Kart as an option. Actually, a Miata is a better choice, because you end up with a proper car, and probably only sacrifice....600 lbs? Something like that.
