Jimbo's new C5

Jimbo is Rob Spaghetti's camera guy.

Heads/cam C5. Pretty clean and nice actually.

I should swing over to his channel and see what kind of power he thinks this is making and how much he paid. I am sure it was a good deal for the performance.

Reveal on Jimbo's channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i8Uj07p-ZzM

Car needs mufflers...it seems obnoxiously loud. But he's a kid so that's how it goes.

The tinted tail light and backup light covers are dumb. Oh and I don't like the wheels.

Good thing all of these gripes are easily resolved.

Everyone was telling me to get a C5 Z06, But to be completely honest i just wasn't ever into the FRC body style. I always liked the coupes. Not to mention, a BLACK coupe.....
Interesting. I guess I felt the same way but I dunno, I like the LS6 and the Z06 is its own value. It's not like they are twice the price of a regular C5.

I love the C5 gauge cluster.

$15,500. 88k. For a car that will spank a stock Gen 5 Camaro that you might find at the bottom end of the market for what....$20k? So there is a case to be made for these. There's something ironic about a used, faster Corvette being cheaper than a used, slower Camaro.

High mileage Corvettes (and CTS-Vs) make the best used car values.

I love his description of his buying experience.

I was just thinking about how good of a buy my CTS-V was and that I trusted the previous owner. It wasn't really modded other than a Magnaflow exhaust and K&N intake (which I put back to stock and has been stock pretty much since I bought it).

448 wheel on a Mustang dyno?!

Jesus...dynojet power is closer to 500 rwhp. This thing is a beast!!

A Z06 with 400 flywheel is good for a mid to low 12 @ 116 or so. So 500 wheel must be good for like...a high 10 on DRs. Damn. Deep 11s easy on street tires. And, probably, a 125 trap. For $15,500. This is Hellcat performance.

Well I wanted to put it in terms that you would understand. I wanted to say 125 mph trap. 0-60 at that level of power to weight is inadequate to describe the performance. This level has been the upper bound for most production vehicles since the 2006 C6 Z06. The Hellcat, ZL1, Z06 and CTS-V are all at about this level.

Also, he blew up his differential while filming a burnout/power slide. He dumped it at 4000 and apparently it hooked up. But it didn't just hook up. It wheel hopped violently which will kill most IRS differentials. Especially when there is real power and traction behind it.

The Hellcat could have handled that.
