Jetblue DirecTV

Post by kevm14 »

Nice to have like 41 channels.

Flipped through after watching a movie. A&E is playing....Con Air.

Seems like a bit of a faux pas, no? I chuckled. And I am watching it. Nick Cage is not a good actor....oh well.

So much irony.

There was a line from Buschemi about the definition of irony being that they were rocking out to Skynyrd on a plane and they died in a plane crash or whatever.

Well now they are attempting to crash land in Vegas and missed...to the strip instead!

I didn't mention this but I am an hour from Vegas as I type this....lol

TV on airplanes has definitely improved. Heck, even movie selections have improved. I'd almost say that sometimes taking a flight is the best way to catch up on movies that you wanted to see but just never got around to actually watching. Only issue is when you're watching something and the pilot or someone wants to keep making announcements and interrupts what you're watching.

I don't watch many movies these days; however most of the movies I have watched continuously in their entirety over the last couple years were on flights. Typically I will watch something on my iPad or listen to podcasts during takeoff and landing so I don't have to listen to the announcements. It's extra annoying on international flights when they repeat the announcements in more than one language.

When I got to LGB, aside from the very California outside baggage claim, something came over the loudspeakers that made me lol:
"The white zone is for loading and unloading only. There is no parking in the white zone."

Because Airplane.

Maybe it's a CA thing. I dunno. I looked around to see if it was a joke. It wasn't.

Did I mention that we got off the plane outside also? You can tell a lot about the climate this way...

Yes, probably never any rain or harsh weather there. Did you get a sweet rental car?

No rental car. Going to Uber to meeting today...I know, not very California.

A co-worker was like "Fly into LAX and drive man!"

No way.

LAX does have an awesome rental car selection in my experience.

Think the airport in Maui is also outdoors.
