In summary, mini, (although same size) Camaro, with less performance.
I think this is very interesting. Small, 4 seater(according to the teenage wish list described), rear wheel drive, and they might make a performance version...
Weird that the "small" Chevy 2 door will be on the same platform as the Camaro though. I almost think it should be on a slightly smaller platform otherwise it is just a down tuned or slower "cheap" Camaro. I guess it is nice to have options though.
Why couldn't they make a 2 door sport rear wheel drive version of the Cruze?

"but they were surprised to learn the Corvette was also a Chevy"
I like to call this the stereotypical demographic that actually exists.

Re: Chevrolet Code 130R
I think that is because for a while, Chevy was so bad, GM/the Corvette team didn't want to be associated with Chevy. It is almost GM's fault. At the time they were right though.
the late 90's early 2000's you had the Aveo, Metro, Cobalt, crappy Impala, crappy Monte Carlo, crappy Malibu, if you were Corvette you didn't want anyone to know Chevy built you.
Now, the Camaro is awesome for the first time since the 60's. The Cruze is on it's way to being pretty good (I have one as a rental right now - an RS actually and it needs more power but is otherwise nicer than the Mazda 3 and the Corolla I own), the new Impala is really nice, the new Malibu is really nice. Corvette doesn't need to be embarrassed of it's bloodline anymore. It needs to watch out for the new Camaro and the GNX actually... (Maybe even the new Mustang. I really don't like to admit that Ford is probably going to knock it out of the park with that Euro Fusion Trash Mustang.)

Re: Chevrolet Code 130R
I am curious how much weight savings will be possible with this platform. It would really get my interest if they had a similar weight to the BRZ/FR-S, but with a 270 HP turbo engine.

I just want to go on record that this highly amused me.billgiacheri wrote:that Euro Fusion Trash Mustang
