That depends. But it sure is light on resources.

Where IE is way out in front is resource usage.

I just did a simple test of opening IE and Chrome, browsing to theverge.com and scrolling from top to bottom and back to the top again.

IE11 used 84MB\RAM and 11 seconds of CPU time where Chrome used 230MB\RAM and 16 seconds CPU time.

In other words Chrome used 176% more RAM and 45% more CPU than IE11 to perform the same task.

I sure wish my work would upgrade. We are still using IE8 and it's terrible. Somehow I was able to install chrome on my work computer, but I can only use it when I am outside the company network.
