I know Bill didn't like his snark on the Focus RS but you have to admit he is funny and does a good job, particularly in this video. He even directed some snark toward his "super reliable Japanese SUV."
For the record, the issue he describes on Nissan and Mercedes is also the weak link of the Catera 54 degree Opel engine. And he gets into that at the end - there are a lot of cars that actually can have this issue.
I actually didn't know about this on the E55. But what this reiterates is that with any car, and even German cars, DIY is key to an affordable ownership experience if it is older and has some mileage on it. You can preemptively replace the radiator on any E55 as a cheap insurance policy against this issue.
