Tesla sure enjoys a strong apologist base. I don't recall the Volt having this much support and it is far cheaper.

The Volt also didn't have articles calling into question the range and viability of the car. Most of the criticism of the Volt you see online is aimed more at the parent company.

I recall plenty of articles. It is easy to paint the Volt in a negative light. Example: The Volt excels neither as an electric car nor a gas hybrid. The comment is based somewhat in truth but entirely misses the point of what the car actually offers.
