This isn't very sloppy. I think he spent big bucks on a kit and is using a blower instead of a turbo. But, manual trans. So this will drive linearly at least, with no lag.

He has the quick jacks!

Also he said he only has 12 hours into this swap. That's just insane.

Ha, this car was a fathers day gift from his wife. Slight rod knock on the VQ.

Damn, 350 wheel on a 180k mile 4.8 with just a cam, springs and tuning.

And ironically here he is tuning a blue G35 with some kind of LS1/LS6 (G57?).

This one makes a very impressive 431 wheel. And sounds amazing.

And if you don't like those, here is a very conventional setup for drag racing. A g-body Malibu with a 6.0L with sloppy approved 78/75 turbo.

Big numbers on only 12 psi (not even done tuning). 600+ wheel hp.

It's still awesome.

901 wheel. Box Volvo wagon. My favorite part, as usual, is the high mile, smokey on decel 6.0 nearing 7,000 rpm and trans with only a shift kit. It's so good.

Now look at this.

This is his G35 with the 4.8. He finally has the CTS-V LSA supercharger on it. The thing has a power and torque curve very similar to a heads/cam LS7. I think this might be the hot setup. Pretty cheap and very easy to put together.

To elaborate, the G35 with 4.8 and LSA blower did 570 rwhp. The heads/cam LS7 did 540 and again, the shape of the curve was very similar and broad, and yes, all the way up to 7,000 - in fact, it's a little BETTER across the entire curve. How awesome is that. He basically made a budget heads/cam LS7 out of a 4.8 and LSA blower. This is all the power I'd ever want for the Roadmaster, and the barrier to entry is so much more modest. In fact other than rigging up some kind of liquid cooling for the LSA blower, it's just an engine swap and then figuring out the transmission, like any other LS swap. And with the blower you get instant bottom end torque. Turbos are fun but they don't do that.

He is apparently out of fuel pump with this setup so that needs to be upgraded in some way.

But again think about the packaging. It's no wonder that is what GM used. It's a small box bolted to the top of the engine (part of the integrated intake manifold). Then instead of a bulky intercooler with piping, you just pump the warm liquid to a heat exchanger somewhere. No crazy and hot exhaust piping all over the engine bay. No turbo with no air filter on it. No temptation to dump the exhaust out of the hood. No boost control to worry about. No noisy-ass wastegate dumps because plumbing back to the exhaust is too hard sometimes. Of course, I am unwilling to cut a hole in the hood like he did on the G35, but I bet it would clear the Roadmaster.

One other note - that was on E85. And cold tap water running through the blower. I would like to see a self-contained intercooler setup on pump 93. It would still be in the 500s I assume, which is good enough for me.

He thinks he can easily clear 600 wheel with a ported blower.

Drivability quote from the video:
You can half-throttle the thing in 2nd gear and just bake tire...just all over the limiter. If you hit third while it's spinning 2nd, it never stops.
