LSA-equipped vehicles (which means Eaton TVS-1900) get their warranty extended due to premature shaft bearing failure. Given the blower, the engine has more complexity than the usual SBC. And the only real warranty claim you would make on an SBC would be a valve spring. I think I've heard of this before, so I'm glad they're stepping up. It supposedly covers 2009-2013 CTS-Vs and extends coverage to 10 years, 120k. That may be long enough that if it hasn't failed by then, it doesn't have "the problem." I guess my worry would be if I picked one up with 90k and it was driven gently enough even with "the problem" that it didn't exhibit symptoms that it would fail under my use.
GM extends warranty on CTS-V and ZL-1

This doesn't affect the ZR-1? Does it use a different blower?

Yes. The LS9 uses the TVS-2300, which is a 2.3L blower vs the TVS-1900 which you can probably guess the displacement. I believe the blowers are delivered to GM complete ready to install (which means grease installed). Oh well.
