I didn't know you meant pulsation. Hoses won't do anything for that obviously.

Yes, should have been more specific. I think rear rotors and pads are my only remaining option. I hope it isn’t more complicated than that.

Unlikely to be anything else. You could even try just replacing rotors if you thought the pads were in good shape.

I dropped off the Vsport this morning at the dealer. I had a couple laughs with the service adviser about trying to squeeze this in before the end of the warranty. I also had them do the oil change. It was $49.95 and I'm not sure I can buy the materials for that. They tried to sell me tires (rears are at 4/32nds, so not yet). They do have a price match deal on tires, but I am not ready yet. I also need to decide which tires to buy. It would be nice to have the PS4S, but I am not sure about winter driving with these.

Also, I got a base model 2019 XT5 as a loaner. Pretty bland, but nice enough and it has Apple CarPlay, unlike the other two luxury rentals I have had this week.

The backup camera resolution in the XT5 isn't really much different than the Vsport. I'm not sure why GM can't make this decent. It seems like it should be easy and cheap enough these days.

I read this on my phone and thought you wrote XTS. Yeah I guess I don't understand that. Maybe there is an uplevel system that does front stuff, 360 stuff, and that sweet rearview mirror. So they do have some tech but seems their basic rearview systems have crappy res. I dunno, I use the sonar beep stuff on my STS to avoid backing into stuff (like cars when I back into spots) but I guess I don't feel like I need a camera...

The idea that I might need one to back into a spot centered or something is just nonsense. And like I said, I like some of the more advanced tech. But I'm really not too picky or excited about the basic, single view rear camera.

It's kind of like basic TPMS systems. They aren't worth the trouble. Give me individual pressure readouts or don't give me anything. All of my GM pre-mandate TPMS systems have been excellent. The post-mandate bare-minimum-for-compliance stuff is not useful. So I would put a standard def backup camera into the compliance category. No need for that but I guess to be there, and (like a basic TPMS system) serves a minimum purpose. And yet, I haven't backed over anything like a small child or bike or anything else. Apparently other people have. And like before TPMS, I managed tire pressure. Not a necessity - adding a light and nothing else barely helps me. But I really like having a full featured system.

I don't need a camera either with the sonar stuff, but if you're going to put a camera there, please don't make it look like a digital camera image from 1999.

Update: still driving the XT5. Called the dealer today, but didn't get a call back. Last I heard they were waiting for the hazard light switch to come in. Guess I'll keep commuting in my tall luxury box like all my neighbors...
