I assumed this was going to be pretty terrible. And it IS terribly slow. But at least it's interesting. The full time 4WD system is pretty fancy for 1977.

It says HydraMatic...does that mean a GM trans? Knowing AMC, it could very well be. I think this also had a Saginaw steering column.

I didn't know this was even available without a V8! Trapping 63 would put in the same league as some of the local buses I have ridden here in China. Actually those are probably worse...
