Cars I've Owned, VINWiki and the Quest for Old VINs
Re: Cars I've Owned, VINWiki and the Quest for Old VINs
Too anonymous I guess. It was my daily driver between the Tercel and the Mini.
Re: Cars I've Owned, VINWiki and the Quest for Old VINs
It's the only car on the list I don't really remember. I certainly remember the $1 Corsica. From the lady with no teeth.
Re: Cars I've Owned, VINWiki and the Quest for Old VINs
I sold it to a lady with no teeth for $400. The girl I bought it from had all her teeth (she was a student at UMaine).
Re: Cars I've Owned, VINWiki and the Quest for Old VINs
I need to add a signature moment for each one of my cars, like the most memorable or coolest thing that happened with it during my ownership.
Re: Cars I've Owned, VINWiki and the Quest for Old VINs
Bought Sold Years owned
1. 1989 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 0.00
2. 1993 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 3/22/2001 18.62
3. 1995 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 7/24/2004 5/1/2007 2.77
4. 1991 Ford Ranger 1/20/2008 3/4/2017 9.13
5. 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham 5/3/2008 7/26/2010 2.23
6. 2005 Cadillac CTS-V 7/26/2008 11.27
7. 2008 Cadillac SRX 3/29/2015 4.59
8. 1999 Dodge Ram 12/30/2016 2.83
9. 2005 Cadillac STS 5/13/2017 2.46
10. 1996 Buick Roadmaster 8/18/2017 2.20
So that is formatted like crap. Here is a nice graph. Average ownership time not counting the 89 Caprice: 6.23 years. I should do miles driven. But this is quite a distribution. Half of them are in the 2-3 year range, though 3 out of those 5 I currently own so the time is just going to rack up.
Only owned 2 more than 10 years. Ranger didn't quite make it. The SRX is an outlier as it is not clustered in the 2-3 range nor is it at or above 10. This makes sense given that it is the wife's car. I don't know that it will stay in the family to rack up big numbers but time will tell obviously.

Re: Cars I've Owned, VINWiki and the Quest for Old VINs
I dug up a couple old photos of my Z06 at The Dragon in August 2005 during the Killboy Black Friday special. This was my second time visiting, shortly after I moved south.

Any other Z06s with Maine plates there that day?
Re: Cars I've Owned, VINWiki and the Quest for Old VINs
A couple of random shots including my Z06 from a December 2005 Dragon run that I snagged from the killboy blog.

Is that who I think it is on the left in the bottom pic?
