This eliminates the possibility of getting to The Dragon from the NC side. In the interview, the chair of the Graham County board of commissioners cites the high incident rate of motorcycle crashes as a reason for closing down the roads.

I think that is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary.

It's almost as if they don't like the fact that people come to their roads to drive fast and were looking for any excuse to shut it down.
