So far I've isolated the passenger seat storage door/handle aa rattling. Also the right rear sail panel is making some kind of annoying clicking.

2014 E63S: other interior rattles
Re: 2014 E63S: other interior rattles
I pulled on the sail panel last night to see if I could sort of move its position and change the way the clips sit. That seemed to help. So I ordered new clips and a new airbag label cover (which is broken but not the issue). That might be all this needs.
As for the passenger seat stowage compartment, I shoved a small piece of foam under the handle and that helped with the handle rattle. Now I think there is some remaining rattle in the compartment itself against the seat. I may try to get some thin foam tape and apply to some strategic areas. I can't bring myself to buy a new compartment for this...yet.

Re: 2014 E63S: other interior rattles
I applied 24 felt dots across the width of the compartment to make it close more firmly and put some pressure on the housing. That further reduced the rattle. Now the rattling is more limited to actual bumps but at least not constantly. If I was sure the new one would match properly and wasn't built somehow even cheaper then maybe I'd still just prefer to do that and be done with it.
Re: 2014 E63S: other interior rattles
I caved and ordered a new compartment. We'll see what it actually comes with, how it matches the interior, how it installs and whether it actually fixes the rattle. It would suck if I have to reuse a part that is actually causing the rattle. For $80, it's worth a shot.
Re: 2014 E63S: other interior rattles
Got the new compartment. Same supplier as the original but has a 2018 production date. It is a pretty substantial piece with a metal mount. $80 actually seems reasonable.
Removal is easy. Just two T-25 torx screws. I think it is designed this way because I realized there are modules under the passenger seat and you'd have to remove this compartment to access them.
Installation was only tricky because the compartment pushes against the front seat padding to align the screw holes. So a bit of fiddling required to get the screw to start, but the screws have a nice lead/unthreaded portion that helps avoid cross-threading.
100k on it now. Have not test driven which I guess means I didn't actually prove that I fixed the rattle yet...

Re: 2014 E63S: other interior rattles
Seems to be fixed. Next: pull right rear sail panel, replace pin fasteners and snap new airbag cover on.
Re: 2014 E63S: other interior rattles
I pushed on the C-pillar sail panel and got it to click. Then I removed the airbag cover that I broke last time and...I couldn't get the panel to click. So maybe the broken cover was doing the clicking???
I will drive to work a few times and if good, I'll just snap the new airbag cover on and hopefully that's it. I still have the new push pins for later I guess.
Passenger side
Broken clip on airbag cover thing.
Driver's side
I knew I broke this but I can't believe that was causing all the noise. The cover must have been shifting around in the sail cover, without being properly clipped in.

Re: 2014 E63S: other interior rattles
Snapped new one into place.
I'll verify tomorrow. It was silent when driving around with the cover missing, so the new cover will probably be silent as well.

Re: 2014 E63S: other interior rattles
This seems fixed. There are of course other noises but these were really the main, bothersome ones.
