Is that just the cover, or is there something else in there too?

That's what you need. Same kit I bought for my S550. Your caps aren't leaking so you can decide to either replace them anyway or hang onto the new ones and lose them.

[X]- Visually confirm P/N on coolant circ pump but I think the 203 one is correct.
[X}- Check all four cam adjuster plugs and four cam position sensors for oil at plugs.
The 203 number above is correct.

Checked CMPs and adjusters for oil. All CMPs are dry. All adjusters are oily. BUT, all adjusters have the OEM extension harnesses, which is neat. So....it's fixed forever. Judging by the condition of the ECU, I wonder if this had an oil in harness issue? It just looks so clean. If I felt like it, I could probably find a date on it. I may also be able to do this electronically which seems easier.

More things. The heater shutoff valve is coded in but I don't think it should be. There is an update available for the ECU. The TCU is up to date. Codings attached for engine. Could disable that load jerk damping and torque limiting which are the two things I did on my S550 that woke up the throttle response. But I feel like Adam should, you know, drive his car for a while and then we can fiddle with it more.

[X]- Check ECU coding/SW version because it might actually be the cause of the silent code for the heater shutoff valve (because it doesn't actually have one, hence open circuit)
{X}- Maybe rubber cement the subwoofer spider?
It was coded for the heater shutoff valve and I don't think it should have been. ECU has an update available. TCU does not. Didn't check others.

Successfully coded the heater shutoff valve to not fitted and viola, the code is gone. I used the Launch for this which was way easier than figuring out the arcane German software on the laptop (someday I will).

As for the subwoofer, the spider was totally disconnected circumferentially unlike my S550. So it was harder to deal with because the natural position is for it to be pulled down a bit from the frame. So I had to glue and hold and do that a few times as it started to stick. In the end it's mostly on there and doesn't seem to rattle, which was the real issue.

Found a bonus service receipt stuck behind the back seat (I folded it down to help deal with the subwoofer so I could lay in there and stuff).

Some good stuff in here. Plugs, transmission service, and Amsoil Euro 5W-40. That's impressive. And a declined fog light repair. I guess that's been broken for years.

It was coded as a convertible further suggesting that this ECU came from somewhere else. If it came from a 2007 CLK convertible that would explain both coding issues.

So I set it to C209 (A209 would be the convertible).

There is a way to code the ECU as built but I am not sure if DAS needs to be in online mode for that to work. Hopefully this is the last of the incorrect coding.

For the missing seal at the battery/HVAC partition wall, try these numbers to see if they look right:
A1708310098 - nope, looks like the cowl seal
A2036281298 - can't find on eBay for photo
A2036281098 - cable duct seal so it has cut outs for round things

Boy this Launch tool is impressive. The codes wouldn't clear with this tool or in DAS. I was poking around the codings to make sure it didn't think this was a convertible or something. As I was browsing I guess I went into a section that required some kind of unlock mode. So it did that for me. Then I randomly tried clearing the codes again and it worked but I got this:

Then I checked again and clean bill of health!!
